GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited college or university in the United States, or its equivalent from a foreign institution.
Applicants whose undergraduate degree is in a field other than Construction Management or Civil Engineering may take the necessary prerequisite courses by enrolling in the UW Certificate Program in Construction Management. This program is offered in an online format and includes undergraduate courses in construction safety, construction estimating, project planning and control, and project management. At least one of these courses must be completed prior to applying to the M.S. in Construction Management; the others may be completed concurrently with the graduate program. Information on these prerequisite courses – including contact information for additional questions about the certificate program – can be found on the certificate program's website. If you have questions about eligibility for the master's degree program, please contact us.
- A grade point average of 3.0 or better is required, based on the last 60 graded semester hours or last 90 graded quarter hours of undergraduate and graduate study.
